Brad Patout
Brad Patout is a Senior Associate with Defense Products Marketing. His primary role is to provide dedicated business development expertise to defense industry clients. He brings extensive knowledge of the operations, technologies, and budget processes within Congress, the Armed Services, and multiple government agencies. As a Senior Defense Industry Manager overseeing programs and issues involving U.S. military requirements, Congressional legislation, and government agency programs, Brad understands the path to a bringing a successful program from conception to production.
Prior to joining the company, Brad served as the Manager of Government Operations at Oshkosh Corporation [NYSE: OSK]. He managed Congressional efforts for Oshkosh Defense as well as oversaw General Services Administration (GSA) efforts for many of its commercial subsidiaries including Pierce fire apparatus, JLG lift equipment, and McNeilus refuse and concrete placement equipment. Brad represented Oshkosh and its subsidiaries to the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Commerce and Congress. He worked directly with both the MRAP All Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) and Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle (FMTV) teams prior to Oshkosh's successful contract awards.
In other capacities, Brad has worked with clients including Fabrique Nationale Herstal (FNH), Raytheon, PulseTech Products, and Fontaine Trailer as well as worked directly with the South Carolina National Guard to represent its interests on Capitol Hill. By covering programs from defense automotive OEMs and suppliers to technology development, Brad's expertise in the Congressional and DOD budget process along with his knowledge of legislation and corresponding acquisition programs makes him a vital asset.
Brad holds a Bachelor's of Science in management in accounting as well as a BSM in Legal Studies from Tulane University, New Orleans. He also holds multiple certificates from Defense Acquisition University, including achievement in Defense Systems Acquisition Management. He serves as an active member in organizations such as National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA), and the Tac Wheels Association.
